First Book Is.....

The first book I will be reviewing for you in the next couple days is...............

Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt

Synopsis from Amazon: When Mallory discovers that her boyfriend, Jeremy, is cheating on her with an online girlfriend, she swears off boys. She also swears off modern technology. Inspired by a list of goals her grandmother made in 1962, Mallory decides to "go vintage" and return to a simpler time (when boyfriends couldn't cheat on you online). She sets out to complete grandma's list: run for pep club secretary, host a dinner party, sew a homecoming dress, find a steady, do something dangerous. But the list is trickier than it looks. And obviously finding a steady is out . . . no matter how good Oliver (Jeremy's cousin) smells. But with the help of her sister, she'll get it done. Somehow. Lindsey Leavitt perfectly pairs heartfelt family moments, laugh-out-loud humor, and a little bit of romance in this delightful contemporary novel.

As I dive in to this new story I hope you are finding one that you will enjoy. Until then here's to happily ever after.

Inaugural Post

I am a huge reader. Always have been, always will be. I know that there are people out there that read way more then I do but I like to think that I read more than the average person. The time has come for me to want to share that love with others. Many people ask how I can read so much. To me it’s an escape. A paradise really and I want to give you a peek into that paradise and maybe it can become yours as well.

I have a very vivid imagination and when I read I literally see the story unfold before my eyes. You may be thinking “What is this crazy lady talking about? She can see a story that doesn’t have pictures?” Others may be saying “I completely understand.” Which ever your response maybe I want to expand them so that we as readers can find a place that we can all come together to escape.

With this blog I plan on sharing books with you that I have recently read. I want to  show you how the story unfurled in my eyes and how it took me to paradise. To share with you the experience that can come from reading a book that you fall in love with. I often get weird looks when I tell people that I have a read a book more then once, but when it comes to your favorites rereading is like a security blanket. It will always take you back to a good memory. Maybe we will find that book for you on here. I promise you to offer my best insight on the books. I can’t say that they will always be correct or the most intriguing; but I can say they will be honest. All I ask is that you enjoy the ride. I will offer a few challenges here an there to help me and you put our selves more into the book. Nothing hard or times consuming. This is a fun blog, no one wants an assignment. If you are interested though I would love to hear your thoughts, so please share. So here we go........ Page 1.
